Arts Graphiques A poor materialOn the occasion of the 2022 France Portugal crossover season, the Muse de la Toile de Jouy invites its public to discover the Pereira de Sampaio collection of chitas from Alcobaa. With more than fifty pieces on display, this exhibition is based on an in depth and unprecedented study of this traditional Portuguese fabric, considered the most famous printed cotton canvas in Portugal. Made between the late 18th and 19th centuries in Alcobaaa city in
