Zij volgde haar opleiding aan de Hochshle fr Gestaltung in Linz, waarnaar ze in 1980 verder studeerde aan de Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam. In haar werk streeft ze naar perfectie; haar werken zijn zeer arbeidsintensief met een voorkeur voor ongeglazuurd steengoed. Ze is opzoek naar een zuivere vorm, dat ze vaak opbouwd uit geometrische basisvormen.
