This bass guitar, also called the J Bass, was launched in 1960 as Fender's new "deluxe" bass model. The Jazz Bass was characterized by its slim offset body, a particularly narrow and comfortable neck and so called dual concentric "stacked" control pots with which a wide range of usable and particularly beautiful bass sounds could be produced. The Jazz
